Also known as Millionaire’s Row, The Bridle Path is a wealthy neighborhood located in the district of North York, Toronto. It is bordered by Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre to the south, Bayview Avenue to the west, Bridle Path to the north, and Wilket Creek to the east.

Before becoming a multi-millionaire neighborhood, The Bridle Path was an extensive piece of farmland. It was in 1929 that this area appeared attractive to the land developer Forsey Page. The construction of the Bayview Bridge was determinant in the residential development of the neighborhood.
It was conceived as an exclusive residential settlement right from the beginning. To ensure this initial plan, one of its first residents –George Montegu Black, Jr. – moved into the area and got control of the company owning the farmland documents before it turned into a neighborhood. His first move was to create restrictions for newcomers, limiting the right to build only to single-family dwellings and purchase a minimum of 2 acres. These legal restrictions ensured the establishment of an upper-class community.
The first hospital serving the neighborhood was the formerly named Sunnybrook Military Hospital, currently known as Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. This health care facility has expanded and modernized to suit the needs of the growing population.
Today, The Bridle Path is known for its large and exclusive properties and its multimillionaire lifestyle. On an interesting note, part of the neighborhood was featured in the famous movie Mean Girls as Regina George’s opulent residence. The area is home to renowned people including prominent doctors, engineers, business people, and celebrities such as Stanley Ho.
